The theories and perspectives in this unit focus on the environmental and social influence of crime. Do you think that environmental and social conditions influence crime? Why or why not? Between biological, psychological, and social factors, which one do you think plays the biggest role in crime? Why?
ANSWER:I do think the environment and social conditions influence crime. The crime of a person might be formed due to the environment of the society a person is a part of. Every person is exposed to different environments, some peaceful, some more violent. A person living in a violent society is most likely to commit a violent crime. If someone lived in a peaceful environment they would most likely keep and create peace. I think social factors play the biggest role because of the influence kids have on their friends. Kids want to be accepted by their friends and would do anything to fit in and make them happy.
