two airplanes leave at the same time from airports that are 880 mi apart and travel toward each other. if one plane travels 126 mi/hr faster than the other and they pass each other in 2 hr, how fast is each plane traveling?

Ensuring they don't pass the endpoints before the 2 hour time:
880 / 2 = 440
440 / 2 = 220

Making adjustments to speed to make it so one plane flies 126 m/hr faster than the other
126 / 2 = 63
220 - 63 = 157
220 + 63 = 283

[[Plane A = 157mi/hr]]
[[Plane B = 283mi/hr]]

after 2 hours:
Plane A has traveled: 314mi
Plane B has traveled: 566mi
880 - 566 = 314mi

therefore they pass each other
2 hours after the flight.
