Solve 6y + 2x = 14 for x.

X= 7-3y
X has to be on one side
6y+2x =14
2x= 14-6y
X= 7-3y
Now we can plug that into the original equation (check)
6y + 2(7-3y)
6y+ 14-6y
14=14
X= 7-3y
