The manifest destiny was horrible for Native Americans and Mexicans because the manifest destiny is the idea that the United States is destined by God to expand and spread democracy as well as capitalism across the entire North American continent. It was an ideology of expansion across the entire continent. The United States still uses the ideology of Manifest Destiny to justify its actions around the world.
