To graph linear functions you need to find two points on each line.

First equation:

[tex]x-y=7[/tex]

Find y, when x=0:

[tex]\begin{gathered} 0-y=7 \\ -y=7 \\ \\ (-1)(-y)=(-1)(7) \\ \\ y=-7 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Point (0,-7)

Find x, when y=0:

[tex]\begin{gathered} x-0=7 \\ x=7 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Point: (7,0)

Second equation:

[tex]0.5x+y=5[/tex]

Find y, when x=0:

[tex]\begin{gathered} \text{0}.5(0)+y=5 \\ 0+y=5 \\ y=5 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Point (0,5)

Find x, when y=0:

[tex]\begin{gathered} \text{0}.5x+0=5 \\ 0.5x=5 \\ x=\frac{5}{0.5} \\ \\ x=10 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Point (10,0)

You get the next points:

Line of equation 1 passes through (0,-7) and (7,0)

Line of equation 2passes through (0,5) and (10,0)

Graph:

The solution is the point where the line cross (8,1)
