To find f(-6), simply plug -6 in for x in the equation.
[tex]f(x)=8-3|x+2|[/tex]
[tex]f(-6)=8-3|-6+2|[/tex]
[tex]f(-6)=8-3|-4|[/tex]
[tex]f(-6)=8-3*4[/tex]
[tex]f(-6)=-4[/tex]
Hope that helps!
