How do I start my problem?

So first you would figure out what 1/3 of 30 is($10), then figure out what 1/4 of the money is($7.50) then add the two together, then subtract that number from 30, and then figure out what fraction that number is

Well, 1/3 of the money is $10 leaving $20 & 2/3. 1/4 of $20 is $5 so you are left with $15.
