The population of Glendale this year is 3,200 more than half of last year’s population. The population this year is 26,300. Which equation could be solved to find last year’s population?

(1/2)x + 3200 - 3200 = 26300 - 3200
(1/2)x = 23100
(1/2)x * 2/1 = 23100 * 2/1
x = 46200

Last years population was 46,200
