To solve a proportion set it up like
[tex]\frac{2}{8} = -\frac{30}{x} [/tex]
Now cross multiply the -30 and the 8 so -30 x 8 = -240
Now take the -240 and divide it by 2
[tex] \frac{-240}{2} = -120[/tex]
So x = -120
Answer = 120
