Hi there!

When writing a number in scientific notation we have to think about the following. Any number in scientific notation is written the following way.

[tex]a \times 10 {}^{b} [/tex]

With a representing any number between 1 and 10 and b representing an integer. Therefore:

[tex]44.5 = 4.45 \times {10}^{1} [/tex]
